Can You Tell Who Was Over Me Taking All The Family Pictures?

February 18, 2011

{Great Auntie Inez and Kezi.}

{All the younger cousins.}

Sports Luke has done since coming to New Zealand (He is a new kid!):

  • Tackle rugby (with a special emphasis on taking out his older cousins)
  • Body boarding
  • Wave jumping (with rip tides)
  • Wave diving
  • ‘Biscuiting’
  • Braving the very “stinky sulphurous” mineral hot pools with lake plunges/swimming afterwards
  • Swimming in lakes, pools, ocean and thermal pools
  • Scraping his face on the bottom of a hot pool while trying to do an underwater handstand
  • Skate board racing (see the above mentioned cousins) (Note: no helmet since mom was inside!)
  • Ping pong with cousins
  • Tennis on a rope on the beach
  • “Lacrosse” while running down the beach with Granddad
  • Driving a motor boat
  • Swimming/diving/wrestling with 14 other kids he’s related to all in one tiny pool (mom was still inside)

{The girlie cousins – and, no, we didn’t colour coordinate them. : ) }

Little girl cousins Kezia has been able to meet for the very first time (almost all the same age) and play with while the boys were being “really annoying” –: Krista, Georgia, Holly and Sophie.

Family Members we got to meet, enjoy and get to know: We lost count! : ) (Please note my son’s face.)

But we discovered where Luke’s eye colour comes from, we met a lot of people we happen to look like, and we found a whole slew of relatives with our same food allergies!

{Good sports, but one of them was definitely a little sick of pictures! : ) }

    Oh, my gosh! His face is hilarious. Is it in earnest or was he playing?

    My sweet Misha! My heart is so warm by seeing you with your family. WOW, do your kids ever look like their cousins. I hope the rest of your time is simply beautiful. Love you!!!

    What an amazingly special time, to get to be with so many family members who live so far away! Your family is so blessed, not only to have relatives, but to be able to know and love on them.

    Hey you guys, sad we couldn’t be there as well. We had been away for the last few week-ends and it just wasn’t going to happen. I hope you all had a lovely time with the ‘Brandt’ family in Hamilton.
